Just Released A New Funky EP "HOT SHOT"

Hey folks!

It's on! I've finally released a new EP... and this time it's a funky kinda thing ;)

It is called the "Hot Shot" EP and you can download it for free or pay what you want!

The little story behind the "Hot Shot" EP

Initially, I only wanted to make a funky beat for a friend's birthday (beat: Walkin' Large)
...he liked the style and listening to the beat made me happy, too.
I feel this is a good tune to get up in the morning xD

For some reason I had the urge to produce another funky tune as a gift for my brother's birthday (beat: Hot Shot)... I had so much fun creating the song and it was very well received. I still love listening to it when I play some competitive online games with my homies.

As 2 more of my friends were having birthdays, Dan the naughty man and his girl Lina (beats: The Flip, Funky Feelin') plus my little baby niece was about to be born (beat: Who's This Cat?), I had to do more! And that's what made me produce and release this EP. It's made of love for my friends and family... and a lot of samples xD

I did plan to release this thingy on my birthday, (1st of November),
...and I've made it just in time (23:59)... Now I have this 5-track EP with a funky touch
for you to chill on :)

I hope you can dig this unusual experimentation!
Maybe I will edit the beats here and there from time to time, but if so
I will notify you right away, of course :)

Besides working on other projects as always, I haven't settled on something specific to produce for the next release of JMischer... but I have a feelin' that you won't have to wait until next year ;)

Album Distribution And New Endeavors

I've got some great news...

Almost a year after release I did finally manage to get the album distributed...

I've used the music distribution service called RouteNote (affiliate link)

The production of the summer album is currently on hold and I'm thinking of producing it for the summer next year... BUT don't be sad, I will release a new tune in the next couple of weeks and another one a bit later... and who knows, maybe one of the 14 beats I've sent out to 2 labels last month will get picked and released ;)

New Endeavors

I've been creating a lot lately and not only music, but graphic designs for t-shirts, resources and how to- content for other designers... I'm playing around with the thought of starting a side hustle with all the stuff I'm producing nowadays...

Furthermore... I will start working a new "real" job as a gardener soon! I will have less time and energy for my other projects, but I will have more money to spend on my passions and businesses!

I am looking forward to watch a documentary about the rap battle szene in Germany, for which I've contributed some tunes :)
producing an album with summer vibes and without any samples (except for drums :P)
making more beats for licensing
trying to publish some beats or an EP with a label
getting promoted by a known youtube channel
expanding my presence online
getting the resourceful website for producers up for a softlaunch
and the best at last: a friend of mine wants to collab with me on a few projects! 8 or so... :D

I have a feeling that I have to start working on those projects as soon as possible... like right now...

Launch the resourceful website for music producers I am working on for a whole year now...

Finally... The Album "BEAT PRONE DREAMS" Is OUT NOW!

...I have finished the instrumental Hip Hop album "Beat Prone Dreams" and I have uploaded it to Bandcamp and Beatstars the moment I was done. Within the next weeks I will upload the album to other platforms and may use a distribution service to get it on iTunes and other music outlets.

Happy New Year Folks

Hey guys!
How are you? I hope you had a great time and a splendid start of the new year!

2016... for me it will be the year to take action and to become more awesome :D

I had big plans for the 1st of January 2016. The Kutt Calhoun remix contest, celebrating christmas and the new year had taken a toll on me... I became too relaxed and unfocused. I have underestimated the work I wanted to get done and after working on those for weeks I now still have the feeling that the album and soundkits aren't quite ready for a release, yet!

So this is how it will look for me in the next few weeks, working on these every day without further distractions!

Getting the album "Beat Prone Dreams" ready for independent digital distribution via Bandcamp, Beatstars and Reverbnation
Finishing the soundkits I have been working on for the upcoming music production company and getting them ready for distribution through a dedicated website, Gumroad and Sellfy

Everything else will be dealt with later! Like starting to sell beats, livestreaming my music production and sound design, making more designs for merchandise, writing a resourceful ebook, educational articles and email courses, signing up with royalty collection societies and distribution services to get my future songs and albums to iTunes, GooglePlay, AmazonMP3, etc and finally expanding my presence to more platforms.

Well, those are the plans for now ;-) and to give you at least something to make up for the delay, take a few minutes to enjoy this track and to think about ...

The Kutt Calhoun Remix Contest Entry By JMischer

Hey folks... Happy Holidays!!!! :D

I just want to let you know that I have entered the Kutt Calhoun remix contest on Beatstars!
I am not 100% satisfied with the mix but... it is a busy time and the voting starts soon! (Dec 27th)

I have used some samples from Samplephonics, Loopmasters and Tcustomz drums, SoundPackFlyer (affiliate links)

Hmmmh...

Should I use some brass or string staccato hits in the hook sections? Maybe the e-guitar could use a bit more equalization in the mid-range to free up the vocals in the hook sections! I get the feeling that they clash together at some parts :-/

The beat in a whole could be a little bit more saturated in the lower end frequencies. Or maybe it just needs more stereo widening... What it also lacks is clarity, I think.

Oh man... maybe it ain't ready yet xD

What do you think? Would you take something out or put more into it? Any feedback is much appreciated :)

Time is running... "CREEPS ON THE MOVE" Halloween EP

... and I am still getting everything together for my music production company.
I've set myself the goal to launch it 1/1/2016 simultaneously with the release of
my upcoming dreamy boom bap album.

While finally uploading all the videos of my album "Liftoff" to Youtube, finishing the next album, producing content and writing a business plan I am constantly making new beats every week... Now I have new material I can make 2 more albums with or I will sell them to other artists...
I haven't decided yet ;)

I have released a little creepy ep on the halloween weekend. I wish I could have shared it sooner here, but I got a bit distracted... celebrating my birthday :P
